Meet Mogo

What a busy summer! We had so much fun at the studio and even out by the pool with the mat class series! We have enjoyed getting to know so many new clients and welcoming them into the Mogo Pilates family! It is because of your commitment and passion for Pilates that we get to do what we love...teach Pilates!

Every day at Mogo Pilates we are grateful to get to spend our time with wonderful clients, students and friends learning and growing with and through Pilates. We want anyone who comes to the studio to feel like they are at home and can be comfortable whether they are just beginning Pilates or are advanced and taking their fitness to the next level. By supporting all women and men in their fitness and health goals, we pride ourselves on being inclusive...because anyone and everyone can do Pilates! That's where the Mogo Team comes in. Victoria and Katie will equip you with the knowledge and awareness so you can get the most benefit for your health and fitness. And we will have fun doing it! We will be with you the entire way cheering you on and helping you achieve uniform development within your entire body. We look forward to working with you! (If you can't tell, we love working with one another, too! See more fun photos from our summer shoot by scrolling down.)

Victoria Mogilevsky

Owner and Lead Teacher, PMA® Certified

Victoria Mogilevsky is not only the owner and lead teacher at Mogo Pilates, she is the heart and soul behind it all. She is one of the most trained and experienced Pilates teachers in not just Minneapolis but in the Midwest. This is evident in her ever-growing list of teaching credentials. Victoria is a TPC (The Pilates Center) Advanced Certified Pilates Teacher and Host Advisor for TPC and is PMA® (Pilates Method Alliance) certified. Other notable programs in her Pilates education include the Pilates Plus Psyche with Pilates Elder, Mary Bowen, in Northhampton, MA and the certification for Scolio-Pilates® Program with Karena Thek. Currently, she is in the mentoring program with The Pilates Center's, Debora Kolwey, in Eve Gentry work. Debora is one of only three people who studied extensively with Eve, an elder and direct student of Joseph Pilates. She has also been accepted and is currently in the Kathy Grant Heritage Program with Cara Reeser. Needless to say, she is a perpetual student who brings her knowledge of Pilates and curiosity of learning to her clients.

Victoria’s love of Pilates first started in 1996 while living in Connecticut. She studied with instructors such as Romana Kryzanowska who was a direct student of the Joseph Pilates. She moved to Minneapolis in 2000 and continued her study and practice of Pilates at various studios. She opened Mogo Pilates in 2009 in her home to offer clients a boutique studio experience. Just like her education – she didn’t just outfit the studio with one or two pieces of equipment. Mogo Pilates has four Universal Reformers, four Wall Units/Towers, a Cadillac, a Guillotine, Chairs, Barrels, and all the equipment for the ultimate Pilates experience.

Victoria loves art and theatre and is loves spending time with her husband of 31 years, four children, and two grandchildren.

“What I love the most about Pilates is that everyone and every body can do Pilates. At Mogo we teach to the body in front of us. There is always something more to learn about our bodies through Pilates. The journey never ends...there is something new every day.”

Katie Cummings

Student Teacher, TPC Advanced Teacher Training Program

Katie Cummings is a student teacher at Mogo Pilates and is enrolled in the TPC Advanced Teacher Training Program with an expected graduation date of June 2018. The program consists of over 950 hours of training and is considered one of the most rigorous training programs in the world. Under the leadership of Victoria, she is teaching clients and taking lessons at Mogo Pilates.

Katie was first introduced to Pilates while in college at the University of San Diego back in 2004. In 2011, she moved to Minneapolis and has been a Mogo Pilates client ever since. She started taking two lessons a week with Victoria and never looked back. Now a student of over 10 years, she is excited to grow as a Pilates Teacher through the training program and continuing education workshops with Pilates elder, Mary Bowen.

Originally from Nisswa, MN she loves spending time with family and friends at the lake and being outdoors. She lives in St. Michael with her husband and their young daughter.

“Pilates is more than a workout for me. It provides balance both mentally and physically. I love that Pilates keeps me healthy and fit…especially now as a new mom! I am excited to be able to share Pilates with others now as a teacher and help others in their health and fitness journey.”
